Does JOBPOWER offer an API?
No. JOBPOWER, the construction accounting system, has no API — and this is not a case of undocumented or partner-only access: the vendor confirms no API exists. There is nothing for third-party software, or a contractor's own IT, to connect to programmatically.
What does no API mean for a contractor's expense workflow?
It means no card or expense platform can sync into JOBPOWER directly, full stop. Any product that lists JOBPOWER as an "integration" is producing a file for your bookkeeper to import. The practical question is what shape that file is in when it arrives: a raw card export with no job numbers or cost codes on it is not job costing, it is a month-end research project. Every line has to be matched to a job and phase after the fact, usually by asking the field who bought what.
How does Vergo work with JOBPOWER without an API?
Vergo puts the job costing at the point of purchase and builds the import file for you. Field staff and PMs spend on Vergo cards; each transaction shows up in Vergo the moment it settles, the receipt gets snapped from a phone, and the spend is coded to the job and cost code — by the cardholder in the moment, or by rules for recurring vendors. Vergo then generates a custom-built CSV export matched to the import format your JOBPOWER system expects. Your bookkeeper imports the batch like any other, with every line already carrying its job costing.
Is a CSV import workflow enough for job costing?
Yes — because the costing data is captured where it exists: in the field, at purchase. The import step was never the problem; the problem was that card statements reach the office with no job attribution and a shoebox of receipts. With that solved upstream, the import is a minutes-long batch load and job cost reports in JOBPOWER reflect card spend without the lag. Your bookkeeper also keeps a review step before anything posts, which most contractors prefer to an invisible sync anyway — every line can be eyeballed, and every receipt is attached in Vergo if a PM or an auditor asks about it later.
Could JOBPOWER add an API later?
Anything is possible, but today the vendor confirms none exists, and we will not claim a connection that is not real. If that changes, only the final import step changes — cards, receipts, and job coding continue in Vergo as they are.
Does JOBPOWER have an API for integrations?
No. JOBPOWER has no API, and the vendor confirms it. No third-party platform can sync into JOBPOWER directly; file import is the only automation path.
How does Vergo integrate with JOBPOWER?
Vergo provides custom-built CSV exports matched to the import format your JOBPOWER system expects. Card transactions are coded to jobs and cost codes in Vergo, then imported into JOBPOWER as a standard batch — no rekeying.
Can field staff code spend to jobs from the field?
Yes. Cardholders snap the receipt and tag the job and cost code from their phone at purchase, so transactions reach the office already costed instead of being reconstructed at month-end.
Does any card platform sync to JOBPOWER in real time?
No — with no API, a real-time sync is impossible for any platform. The honest comparison between platforms is the quality of the import file, and Vergo's is built specifically for JOBPOWER's format.
