Does Vergo integrate with Wave Payroll?
Yes, for employee reimbursements — with a stated limit. Wave's public API covers accounting objects only and payroll is absent from the published schema, so Vergo does not write into Wave Payroll. It prepares approved claims in the format Wave expects.
Can Vergo handle employee reimbursements alongside Wave Payroll?
Yes. Capture, receipt reading, coding, and approval all happen in Vergo, and the finished amounts are handed over for the pay run.
What data moves between Vergo and Wave Payroll?
Approved reimbursement amounts per employee, per pay period, in Wave's expected format. Vergo does not post into the payroll ledger.
How long does the Wave Payroll connection take to set up?
Wave's developer access is self-serve, so there is no approval to wait on. Setup is mapping reimbursement categories and approvers — usually a single session.
Does Wave Payroll have an API?
Wave publishes a public GraphQL API, but the documented schema covers accounting objects — businesses, invoices, customers, transactions. Payroll endpoints are not part of it.
