Does Vergo integrate with Shape Payroll?
Yes. Vergo connects to Shape Payroll's documented API for employee reimbursements and posts approved amounts as employee pay elements. Credentials are arranged once against your Shape account; Vergo handles the rest.
Can Vergo pay employee reimbursements through Shape Payroll?
Yes, and reimbursements are the entire scope. Approved claims are matched to the employee and posted as a pay element marked not subject to tax or NI, so people are paid back with their regular wages.
What data moves between Vergo and Shape Payroll?
Vergo reads Employees and the pay calendar to match claims correctly, then writes EmployeePayElements against the relevant pay run. Shape documents POST /employee/{id}/pay-elements with subjectToTax and subjectToNi flags.
How is the Shape Payroll connection set up?
Shape is vendor-hosted, so nothing is installed. API credentials are enabled once against your Shape account, then Vergo maps employees, the pay calendar and the pay element configuration reimbursements should use.
Does Shape Payroll have built-in expense management?
Shape Payroll handles pay processing, RTI, pensions and payslips, and can carry a non-taxable reimbursement line. Receipt capture, policy testing and approval routing sit outside it — that is what Vergo covers.
